Lakers get
Brook Lopez - 3 Years/24 million (8/8/8) Player Option - Yes Team Option - No Trade Clause - Yes
Warriors get
Ricky Rubio
Contract Length: 2 Years Total Salary: $7m Year1: $3m Year2: $4m
JJ Hickson
Contract Length: 2 Years Total Salary: $8m Year1: $4m Year2: $4m
Cap before: Lakers: 57.5/65 Warriors: 62.5/65
Cap after: Lakers: 58.5/65 Warriors: 61.5/65
Warriors explanation:
As many already know, Chris Paul will NOT be the future PG of this franchise, so the franchise is looking out for Ricky to fulfill that role, while already having acquired Nikola Pekovic to be the future C, in place of Brook Lopez. JJ Hickson comes to aid a troubled PF position, struggling at the slightest sight of injury.

Trading away these 2 players because this team cannot last and will not last without a bigman that is capable of playing center and I believe Brook Lopez will be the perfect fit with my squad.
Don't really need Rubio with Farmar stepping up big off the bench which I believe will continue, and don't need Hickson since that means I can give more playtime to my overseas dude Mirza

I approve.
lakers are getting a cornerstone to build around in getting Brook Lopez. he's a young center full of potential and knowing the laker franchise and their history with centers, he could retire as one of the best.
Warriors are getting a player to facilitate the offense as it is clear that chris paul does not want to be the face of this franchise. so they are able to build for the future and they are only getting younger by acquiring jj hickson

I approve.
Both are getting solid, young players to build their franchises around. Good move for both. Lopez's stock is a little higher (in my opinion) than Rubio's, which is why it makes sense to throw JJ in there.
