Reporter: The Sacramento Kings have made a serious trade that will effect both conference for years to come. Andrew Bynum to the Brooklyn Nets to pair with Derrick Rose and you bring in a package with NBA Phenom Austin Rivers and Long and Talented Baylor Bear Alum Perry Jones III along with NBA Veteran Brendan Haywood and a few up-coming draft picks. Do you think it was the right move?
Petrie: I think it was, I mean it was a hard decision when it was brought to my attention my the Bulls General Manager. I went with my gut feeling on this one, I love Big Bynum and he's very talented I didn't want to trade him at all seriously. In my mind, I felt why shouldn't I take this deal I get a hell of a lot of potential and offense out of it and it fills the spots I was missing.
Reporter: What in Austin Rivers and Perry Jones III made you take this deal?
Petrie: The talent and potential to be good NBA players. Austin Rivers is a scoring machine, with an outside shot that can do me some good right off the bench. He gives me something that can go a long way. As for PJ III, man the kids got game. I'm a Baylor fan myself, but he's long, tall and athletic with an offensive game as well being able to guard the 3 and the 4 is perfect and very versatile. He was playing Small Forward in Brooklyn, I feel he will excel even more here in Sacramento at his main position which is Power Forward.
Reporter: You take a huge blow in your starting Center position by losing Bynum who gave you so much in points and rebounds. How are you going to bounce back from that and what do you plan to do going forward to fill that void.
Petrie: We did receive Brendan Haywood, I really like the veteran choice instead of Spencer Hawes. Haywood's Low-Post Defense is what I can use and his inside game and rebounding aren't bad at all which is what really made me take this deal. He's in his 30's, I talked to him about his age and I told him I will be looking for someone younger to replace him and he was fine with that.
Reporter: Alright, that's all we needed thanks your two cents Mr. Petrie ! Hope to see the Sacramento Kings on the winning end in the future !
