Oklahoma City Thunder Reason
The Thunder were looking for a all-around PG like John Wall. John Wall will help Harden in the back court, and with this back court. Michael Beasly and Marcin Gotart were good players on the Thunder organization, but them two players weren't on the same page. Thunder is a team trying to win a championship not lose in the first round every season. So this whole trade was to rebuild and help Harden at the guard position.
